Beach Plum Farm

Yesterday we discovered a little peace of heaven in Beach Plum Farm.  It was as if we were transported to another state when driving on the premises in Cape May. When you enter you're immediately greeted with hydrangeas in full bloom.  They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner fresh from the farm.  There are chickens to feed, ducks and pigs to visit, walking trails and gorgeous gardens to enjoy.  I can't wait to visit this hidden gem again. And to make the trip even better there is a winery right next door.

35 Weeks

How far along are you?: 35 weeks

Baby is: As big as a pineapple. At my 34 week u/s, they estimated she already weighs 5lbs 3 oz.

Movement: Daily hiccups

Weight gain: 28 lbs

Stretch marks?: Yes around my belly button

Food cravings: Enjoying ice cream but it is not a necessity.

Contractions?: Just Braxton Hicks recently

Sleep: Better than before but not great.

Feeling: Tired but we have been working hard to get the house completed of renovations

Working on: Getting Emmy's room completed. We had new carpet installed on Friday so over the weekend I assembled her crib and organized her closet a little bit.

Favorite moment this week?: My family threw me a Sprinkle on Saturday and while I was completely taken by surprise and overwhelmed it was so kind and thoughtful.  I now have tons of diapers and clothes for girlfriend.

32 Weeks

How far along are you?: 32 weeks

Baby is: The size of a cabbage. Dr. predicts she is 4 lbs.

Movement: She is head down but still moving her legs a bunch.

Weight gain: At my appointment last week I was holding steady at 25 lbs.

Stretch marks?: A few finally popped out on my stomach by my belly button.

Maternity clothes?: Even maternity clothes are starting to be uncomfortable. I just want to walk around in a t-shirt and husband's boxers all day.

Currently craving: Nothing in particular but still enjoying salads.

Aversions?: None

Sleep: I have a hard time getting comfortable to fall asleep along with the restless leg and then I wake up 3x a night to pee and my internal clock thinks 5am is a good wake up call. So sleep is not my best friend these days.

Feeling: Sore! My pubic bone hurts to the touch I assume b/c her head is pushing on it, the heels of my feet ache from the time I wake up in the morning and there is so much pressure in my pelvis b/c she is low that the only relief is to sit.

Working on: Nothing currently. We are waiting for new rugs to be installed (in the next 2 weeks hopefully) so I have done NOTHING with Emmy's room.  As we speak it is still a playroom for Liv.  I am almost positive the nursery was completed and all clothes washed at this point the first time around.

Thinking about & anticipating: At my last appointment the doctor was concerned with how low Miss Emmy is and wanted to put me on bed-rest.  However, that is just not a feasible option when I have a two year old running around.  So I agreed to take it easy and we would re-assess the situation in 2 weeks. I was not dilated or effaced at all so with each passing day the continued pressure and increasing braxton hicks has me wondering if she will come early.

Recent baby purchase: New diaper bag. I bought the same Petunia Pickle Sashay Satchel I have now but in black to hide all the stains. Love this bag since you can carry like a book bag.

What are you most looking forward to?: Sleeping on my stomach again

Favorite moment this week?: Liv finally acknowledging her baby sister by giving my belly a good night kiss and saying, "Night night Emmy."
